The Guiding Light of Bright Skies

Our directors are advocates for children, mentors to educators, and a bridge between our families, staff, and community. They navigate challenges, encourage collaboration, and continually seek opportunities to strengthen the quality of early childhood education.

Meet Miss Mandi

Program Director

Miss Mandi has been an integral part of Bright Skies Daycare since its earliest stages, helping turn a vision for quality early childhood care into the thriving program we continue to build today. From assisting with the final stages of planning and opening our doors to building meaningful relationships with families, children, and staff, Mandi has played an essential role in shaping the foundation of Bright Skies.

A Montana native, Mandi was born and raised in Helena, where she graduated from Capital High School in 2009. She later attended the University of Montana Western, pursuing an interest in secondary education with an emphasis in art. Her professional journey eventually led her to discover a talent for animal care and grooming. She went on to own and operate a successful dog grooming salon for eight years before relocating with her husband to his hometown of Eureka, Montana.

As Program Director, Mandi is committed to creating an environment where children can develop confidence, independence, social skills, and a lifelong love of learning. She understands that successful early childhood education is built not only on curriculum and classroom experiences but also on trust, consistency, emotional security, and strong partnerships with families. A natural leader with a passion for organization, Mandi takes great pride in maintaining a structured, welcoming, and well-managed childcare environment. She places a strong emphasis on health, safety, sanitation, and biosecurity practices, recognizing the importance of protecting the well-being of children and staff. Mandi believes that exceptional childcare begins with supported, educated, and confident teachers. She is continually seeking opportunities for professional development, team building, and improvements to classroom practices. Her leadership focuses on fostering a positive workplace culture where educators feel valued, encouraged, and empowered to provide the highest quality care. She also recognizes that communication and transparency are essential to building lasting relationships with families. Whether helping parents navigate enrollment, answering questions, or celebrating a child's developmental milestones, Mandi strives to ensure every family feels welcomed, informed, and connected to their child's care.

Outside of the daycare, Mandi enjoys serving her community through youth ministry, where she continues her passion for mentorship, leadership, and helping young people grow in confidence and character. She is also the owner of North Star Pembroke Welsh Corgis & German Shepherds, where her dedication to responsible breeding, animal health, genetics, and thoughtful care reflects the same attention to detail she brings to Bright Skies. Mandi enjoys Montana's outdoor lifestyle, spending time with her husband, and finding creative ways to grow both personally and professionally.

For Mandi, Bright Skies is much more than a childcare program. It is an opportunity to make a lasting difference in the lives of children during some of their most important developmental years. She is passionate about helping children build the skills they need for kindergarten and beyond while preserving the joy, curiosity, and wonder that make childhood so special.

“Every child deserves to be seen, heard, encouraged, and given the opportunity to grow into who they are meant to become.”
