About Frog Street Cirriculum
Frog Street Curriculum is a research-based early childhood program designed to support the whole child. Through hands-on activities, purposeful play, music, and interactive learning, children develop essential social, emotional, language, literacy, math, and problem-solving skills. Our goal is to inspire curiosity, build confidence, and establish a strong foundation for lifelong learning and school readiness.
Play Based Learning
Socialization plays an essential role in early childhood development. Through meaningful interactions with peers, children learn to communicate, share, build friendships, manage emotions, and develop confidence and independence. At Bright Skies Daycare, our flexible socialization care provides children with opportunities to learn, play, and grow alongside others while building important skills that prepare them for school and beyond.
The Importance of Socialization & Kindergarten Readiness
At Bright Skies Daycare, we believe children learn best through play, exploration, and meaningful interactions with others. Play-based learning is much more than simply having fun. It provides opportunities for children to develop critical thinking, problem-solving, communication, creativity, and independence while building essential social and emotional skills.
Through group activities, imaginative play, hands-on experiences, and daily interactions with peers, children learn to share, take turns, express their emotions, resolve conflicts, and build friendships. These experiences help children develop confidence, adaptability, and a sense of belonging.
Socialization and play-based learning play a significant role in kindergarten readiness. While recognizing letters, numbers, shapes, and colors is important, being prepared for kindergarten goes far beyond academics. Children also need the ability to follow routines, communicate their needs, participate in group activities, manage emotions, and develop positive relationships with teachers and classmates.
At Bright Skies, we combine purposeful play with our Frog Street Curriculum to encourage development across all learning areas. Our socialization care offers families a flexible opportunity to introduce their children to a structured, nurturing learning environment, even if they do not need traditional full-time childcare.
Our goal is not simply to prepare children for kindergarten academically, but to help them enter the classroom feeling confident, capable, independent, and excited to learn.
